History |
In March of 1993, Computer Solutions of Barnwell was founded by Steven
and Cynthia Brubaker who used their home as the base of operations. The
focus during the first year of operations was providing on-site computer service and
training for local schools and businesses. |

In January of 1994, Michael Strite joined the
organization as a service technician. |
It soon became apparent that the opportunities for expanding the business
into a retail establishment were significant and so the business moved to a small
storefront at 1701 Main Street, "on the circle" in Barnwell. |

The business continued to grow in sales and service volume over the
next months. Computer Solutions added Inc. to its name on September 1, 1994 with
Steven and Cynthia Brubaker and Michael Strite as the shareholders.
A decision was made in late 1994 to pursue purchasing a RadioShack franchise.
When this transaction became a reality in early 1995, Harley
H. was added to the owners of Computer Solutions. |

In order to handle the growing volume as well as the addition of the
RadioShack electronic line, the business moved again. This time it was to the
Tri-County Shopping Center next to Reid's Bi-Rite Grocery Store. On June 1, 1995 we
opened the new store. A Grand Opening celebration was held in July.
Local Internet Access was added to our growing list of services in
1996. |

In June of 1999 Steven Brubaker & his family moved to Guys
Mill, PA to teach at Faith Builders Educational Institute. Steve still
retains an interest in the business and remains as president of Computer
Solutions of Barnwell, Inc. |
Around the end of 2000 Harley H. felt a call for
foreign mission work on Thailand. He is currently serving with several different non-profit
organizations in Thailand. We wish him God's blessing in his
work there. |

In December of 2000 our store building underwent an
unexpected renovation. The following pictures show the destruction
after a car was driven through the side of the building |

A Walmart customer was waiting to pull out onto Dunbarton
Blvd when he suffered a seizure, accellerated across the road and into our
store. We thank God for his protecting hand. No one was
seriously hurt in the accident. |
